Are you a Redneck Momma and 'proud of it' or are you a Redneck Momma by association?
It was oh so subtle for this momma. It's taken some time to actually admit that I could be a Redneck Momma. It's not something I consciously thought about until that day I suddenly realized I was living in a Redneck household, a teenage Redneck household, and didn't know how that happened.
I should have realized when the boys were younger what was happening, the day one son had friends over who came to shoot their homemade potato gun ... a thing that looked like a bazooka, shot large potatoes clear across our field, and sounded like a canon going off! Or when the other son thought it hillarious to make our ride on lawnmower spin its wheels and do donuts!!
Instead of living in denial, I've come to accept and even enjoy the antics of the 'Redneck' lifestyle.
Funny things have happened. Our yard started growing piles of tires and truck parts started taking over the yard and house. Instead of going to just watch my sons race in the 4x4 rally, I actually ended up racing in it. And when it snows ... it makes me smile when the truck slips and slides around corners.
It's been an interesting ride with more fun in the future.

Momma ... by association ... and on her way to being 'proud of it'!
